LEED Certification..
Everyone is going Green nowadays which is absolutely amazing, even industries such as construction and real estate. A recent article by Realtor Mag, states that almost 1/3 of all new construction that is being built in the United States today has Green efforts and intentions. That number is up by 2% since 2005 which means people are starting to change their ways and are focusing on becoming Green. However, they are saying that the way to become Green in this industry is to be LEED certified. Realtor Mag explains that “LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It is the green building rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in 1998 to encourage environmental awareness.” Although becoming LEED certified is rather costly, most say that it is worth the expense in the end. This is due to the fact that many people and businesses, nowadays especially, are attempting to make the transition to become Green. They use this “Green” statement for marketing which attracts customers and business who are also apart of this large movement. Therefore, if you would like to make the change and become Green, we suggest that you take the time to become LEED certified!
